З Днем Батька! The AFUO wishes all fathers, grandfathers and those who have stepped into the role of a father a very happy Father’s Day!
To the fathers here in our Ukrainian-Australian community – thank you for keeping our traditions, language, and culture alive in your homes, and for passing on to your children what it means to be Ukrainian. Thank you for protecting, supporting, and guiding your families every day.
Our thoughts are also with Ukrainian fathers who have been separated from their families by russia’s invasion, or are standing on the frontline, defending their homeland so their children can grow up free. And we hold especially close the fathers lost to russia’s invasion, and those whose children have been taken from them – losses no parent or family should have to bear.
To every father in our community: thank you for all that you do. З Днем Батька!
