The XVI National Ukrainian Festival (Zdvyh) brought together the Australian-Ukrainian community from across the country for three unforgettable days of celebration, culture and connection this March in Sydney.
From the Opening Night film screening and Meet & Greet on Friday at the Ukrainian Youth Centre CYM Sydney, to a vibrant UkiFest Saturday UkiFest – Ukrainian Festival Sydney and Ukifest AfterDark featuring headline performance from Kalush Orchestra, concluding with the Sunday Kyiv Social laneway BBQ – the festival showcased the very best of Ukrainian culture and community spirit.
The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations extends its heartfelt congratulations to the UkiFest Organising Committee – guided by the artistic vision of Justin Senko, Festival Director and AFUO Deputy Chair – for delivering a truly modern and vibrant celebration, attended by thousands.
The AFUO also warmly thanks the Ukrainian Council of NSW and President Andrew Mencinsky for their leadership in organising this remarkable three-day national festival.
We further thank the many dedicated volunteers, performers, community organisations, sponsors and partners whose participation made this national celebration possible.
