Why the spotlight? Because the Seferis tanker carried an estimated 50,000 tonnes of refined russian crude — fuel that bankrolls Putin’s missiles targeting civilians in Ukraine.
Even WA’s Minister for Defence Industries Paul Papalia, warned: “Everyone in the western world should be alert to the threat of Russia getting around sanctions…and getting funds for fighting a war in Ukraine, by sneaky means.”
Australians deserve to know the truth
Roma Popadynec, local protest organiser and VP of the Ukrainian Association of Western Australia said: “Australia is falling behind international partners.” The EU has banned refined russian crude oil from third countries. The US plans 100% tariffs.
Meanwhile, Australia still imports this blood oil.
