The AFUO’s Ukraine Crisis Appeal (UCA) and Rotary Donations in Kind have successfully delivered their first 40 foot container of medical and humanitarian aid to the Rotary warehouse in Lviv, and are now distributing the aid to where the need is greatest!
Hospitals, general medical and palliative care facilities, civilians and local charities will all benefit greatly.
In this shipment, the UCA provided medical supplies, adult diapers, blankets, sleeping bags, clothing, a generator, a pallet of de-mining equipment, 18 mobile ventilators and high value X-Ray equipment, which is already being used in a Kyiv hospital to accurately diagnose injuries sustained in the war, thanks to the generosity of Dr Andrew Dobrotwir and EverX.
We are beyond grateful to our Rotary partners in Gdynia, Poland and Lviv, Ukraine for their invaluable logistical assistance once the container landed – unloading it onto trucks and delivering everything safely to Lviv.
