Ukraine Crisis Appeal, under the leadership of Diahanna Senko, together with RAWCS – Rotary Australia World Community Service and the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations, is proud to be a long-standing partner of Caritas Ukraine – playing a vital role in supporting their international humanitarian efforts.
Recently, Teresa Lachowicz from Ukraine Crisis Appeal visited the Caritas Ukraine national office in Lviv. The meeting focused on deepening cooperation and strengthening the contribution of Ukrainian organisations in Australia to Caritas Ukraine’s Education, Formation, and Protection of Children program.
Thanks to the incredible support of our Australian community:
A child-friendly space is now operating at Caritas Berdychiv
The “New Safe Home” project is underway in the Caritas Sambir-Drohobych Diocese
Ongoing humanitarian relief continues to reach those affected by the war

A key outcome of the visit was meeting in person and seeing the success of the programs first hand – strengthening the ties between Australia and Ukraine – ensuring even greater impact.
Exciting plans are also underway for Australia Day celebrations at Caritas children’s centres in Berdychiv and Dobrivlyany.
Children will learn about Australia’s culture, traditions, and language – and hear a powerful story about the people on the other side of the world who care deeply about their future.
We are honoured to stand alongside the dedicated team at Caritas Ukraine – united in compassion, solidarity, and action.
