Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations, Association of Ukrainians in Victoria representatives & Olha Herasymiuk, Chair of Ukraine’s National Council on TV & Radio Broadcasting, hold special visit with Victorian Parliament Friends of Ukraine Group on 31 July.
Hosted by Chair Lee Tarlamis MP OAM, Co-Chair Matthew Guy MP, andMPs Kat Theophanous MP and Michael Galea MP, the bi-partisan meeting highlighted the crucial role of safeguarding independent media during wartime and the need to protect Ukraine’s cultural identity – especially in occupied territories, where children are targeted with russian misinformation.
Joining the delegation were Nataliya Poshyvaylo-Towler (Regional Vice President, Ukrainian World Congress – Свiтовий Конґрес Українців) and Chrestyna Kmetj (AFUO Director for Business & Multicultural Affairs).
