Joining guests from Victoria’s diverse multicultural communities, the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) was proudly represented by Board member Chrestyna Kmetj and Teresa Lachowicz, Ukraine Aid Coordinator, alongside Eugene Hawryszko, President of the Association of Ukrainians in Victoria (AUV), and Olga Hawryszko.
A sincere thank you to Michael Galea MP, member of the Victorian Parliamentary Friends of Ukraine Group, for hosting the Ukrainian-Australian delegation and for his continued support and engagement.
It was also an opportunity for the Ukrainian-Australian delegation to meet and speak with political leaders, including the Hon. Ben Carroll MP, Premier of Victoria, Jess Wilson MP, Leader of the Victorian Opposition and Shadow Treasurer, the Hon. Julian Hill MP, Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs and Lee Tarlamis MP AO, Chair of the Victorian Parliamentary Friends of Ukraine Group — continuing AFUO’s and AUV’s advocacy for Ukraine and the Ukrainian-Australian community at the highest levels of state and federal government.
