We are proud to announce the delivery of a new generator to a school in the Sumy region, where children and teachers live with the daily reality of war and ongoing attacks close to the russian border.
The generator was purchased with funds raised through the Canberra half-marathon initiative in support of Future Ukraine’s “Warmth for Ukraine” campaign.
Our sincere thanks to the Ambassador of Ukraine Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Ambassador of Finland Arto Haapea, David Wroe from the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), and other diplomats who ran and fundraised to help turn solidarity into practical support.
This request was brought to us by the Olena Zelenska Foundation / Фундація Олени Зеленської, which supports the school and identified its urgent need for reliable backup power. We are grateful for the opportunity to work together and deliver assistance where it is needed most.
For this school, the generator means more than electricity. It means greater resilience, continuity and the ability to continue supporting children through the most difficult circumstances.
Thank you to everyone who donated, shared the campaign and stood with Ukraine. Together, we are helping keep the lights on where they are needed most.
