On the birthday of our much admired and missed late community leader, ✝️Stefan Romaniw OAM (1955-2024), we honour his memory and take the time to remember his profound legacy to us.
Our thoughts are with his family on this difficult day, and acknowledge that his absence continues to be felt profoundly by the Ukrainian community, both here in Australia and around the world.
If you have not had the chance or would like to share a cherished memory about Stefan, our on-line memory board about Stefan is still open for your message. The memory board contains many messages received from community members, prominent Australians such as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba.
We will keep the memory board open on our website, but will shortly publish the messages received to date as a book, to be gifted to Stefan’s family.
