Today marks Heroes Day in Ukraine, an unofficial annual day of commemoration and gratitude to all Ukrainian defenders who have served and those currently protecting the freedom and independence of their homeland.
10 years of Russia’s relentless aggression and crimes, and over 2 years from the full-scale invasion, we pay tribute to all whose lives have been lost to protect their families, their homes, democracy, and Ukraine’s independence. Their eternal memory lives forever. We give our sincerest thanks and respect to every defender, soldier, and volunteer upholding Ukraine’s freedom and independence today.
The Australian diaspora should be very proud of the efforts and results we as a community have made to support our defenders.
