Last month, we launched a fundraiser supporting the 214th Separate Assault Battalion, currently defending Ukraine in the Donetsk Oblast.
What began as a series of charity film screenings grew into a national fundraising campaign when we had the honour of welcoming Lieutenant Viktoriia Savkiv, Commander of the Unmanned Aerial Strike Systems Platoon of the 214th Separate Assault Battalion “OPFOR” (214-й окремий штурмовий батальйон), to Australia.
Through screenings of “Kuzma” and “Chervona Ruta” and thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we raised funds to purchase EcoFlow power stations for the battalion.
We’re now proud to share that 4 power stations have been purchased and delivered to the frontline, providing essential power to Ukrainian defenders.
We’re also sharing a special video message from Battalion Commander Lieutenant-Colonel Anton Lavryniuk and Lieutenant Savkiv.
Thank you to Ukrainian Film Festival Australia, Uki Movie Club, Ukrainian Council of NSW – ОУГ НПВ, Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc., Association of Ukrainians in SA and Ukrainian Association Western Australia and every single donor who contributed. Your generosity has turned into tangible support on the ground.
Thank you for standing with Ukraine!
The battalion still requires more generators and would appreciate any further help we can provide. Our fundraising continues here: https://defendukraineappeal.org/kuzma-charity-screenings-australia-ecoflow/
Слава Україні!
