Join us for a vibrant day of stories, poetry, and community! Celebrate Ukrainian & Australian voices through author talks, book signings, kids’ story time, cookbooks & tastings, stalls, raffles & more. This event is a momentous step forward in community and cultural outreach for our Ukrainian-Australian diaspora, featuring home-grown talent and one of Ukraine’s leading voices in journalism, media and communication.
Keynote speaker: Olha Herasymiuk – Ukrainian journalist, author & UNESCO cultural leader, who has served as:
Chair, National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting
Head, Ukrainian Committee for UNESCO’s Information for All Programme (IFAP)
Commissioner, National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO
Coordinator, UNESCO “Memory of the World” in Ukraine
Representative, Council of Europe Expert Group on Media and Information Society
Also featured will be AFUO Board member Chrestyna Kmetj with her book “The Art of Lockdown” on COVID-19 & community, art, wellbeing, culture.
