World famous Antytila Ukrainian rock band to tour Australia and New Zealand

July 5, 2023 by CYOA Administrator

In a world first, the hugely popular Ukrainian pop rock music band “Antytila” will be touring Australia and New Zealand between 9 – 16 November 2023.

Supported by the AFUO, the Ukrainian Council of NSW and the Association of Ukrainians in Victoria, the band will be performing in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.

Their mission – to share Ukrainian music and culture, but also to fundraise for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and humanitarian aid.

Shortly before the full-scale invasion in February 2022, the band joined the Territorial Defense Forces, determined to help protect their homeland.

They have continued to perform and entertain thousands, raising funds for their Antytila Charitable Foundation, which provides protective gear and medicine for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, supports deceased soldiers’ children and families and assists with the recovery and maintenance of armoured vehicles, heavy equipment and cars.

Antytila has collaborated with Ed Sheeran with a remix of his song “2Step” and has sung with Bono and The Edge in the Kyiv underground.

On February 9 2023, the band released the music video for their song Bakhmut Fortress which has gathered over 14 million views on Youtube.

‘’We are inviting you all to join us on our Australian-New-Zealand tour. The best light and sound, Ukrainian groove and Ukrainian soul in each song. All this will be waiting for you. And what is more – true faith in our victory!’’ says frontman of Antytila, Taras Topolia.

Tickets: Sydney, 9 November 2023, Liberty Hall | Melbourne, 12 November 2023, Max Watts
