The AFUO’s Ukraine Crisis Appeal is continuing its great work gathering critical medical and humanitarian aid to Ukraine by facilitating the provision of a mobile X-ray unit to be used on the front line.
Ms Diahanna Senko, the AFUO’s Humanitarian Aid Initiatives Director said today “We are very grateful to Dr Andrew Dobrotwir for his generous donation to purchase from Fujifilm at a discounted cost, the mobile X-ray unit to Ukraine. The Xair is lightweight and portable – it will be invaluable in field hospitals on the front line, and will assist with triaging patients before sending them off for treatment.”
Dr Dobrotwir and Ms Teresa Lachowicz, AFUO Ukraine Aid Coordinator, attended Fujifilm last week to film an instructional video that will have Ukrainian subtitles, so the device can be used by a wide variety of doctors and medics. They will then deliver the device – along with hands-on training by Dr Dobotwir – to doctors in Ukraine.
“Please continue to support our work in Ukraine by donating to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal – the needs are critical and will help us to save lives,” added Ms Senko.
