Remembering those who fought and gave their lives for the values and freedoms we are able to enjoy today. We remember and pray for all of our brave defenders fighting today in Ukraine who continue to defend those values. We acknowledge and give thanks to the many Australians who are currently serving alongside their Ukrainian brothers and sisters.
Photos included from CYM Sydney, who gave a wonderful presentation of the role of Ukrainian ANZACs. In fact, at the dawn of WW1, a small Ukrainian diaspora community was already establishing their new homes in Australia. An estimated 60 Ukrainians served as ANZACs.
We pay tribute to all who have fallen.
