The AFUO & the Ukraine Crisis Appeal extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Geelong Ukrainian Women’s Association (Lesya Ukrainka Branch) for their outstanding support of the Summer Camp for the Children of Ukraine’s Heroes, run by Caritas Ukraine.
Thanks to their dedication and the funds raised at their beloved Mama’s Market, children who have suffered so much because of the war can find moments of joy, care, and hope under the wings of Крила Надії – Пісня Кукабарри (Wings of Hope – Song of the Kookaburra).
This name was specifically chosen by the wonderful women of the Ukrainian Women’s Association, to send hope and love to these Ukrainian children.
They have also provided funds towards our next container to Ukraine – sending vital medical and humanitarian aid.
Their contributions show the power of community and the deep bonds between Australia and Ukraine.
