The teams brought together by Ukraine Crisis Appeal in Australia – RAWCS – Rotary Australia World Community Service, in Ukraine – Rotary Club Ukraine Unity and Poland – Klub Rotary Gdynia have once again shown the power of collaboration.
Together, we have successfully delivered a 40-foot container – our fifth – to Ukraine aiding scores of vulnerable people and hospitals across Ukraine.
Thanks to our incredible partners on the ground in Lviv, Rotary Club Ukraine Unity, the container has now been received and unloaded, and the medical and humanitarian aid it carries is already on its way to support communities across Ukraine.
This shipment includes vital supplies such as:
- For A Meal nutritionally balanced food packs providing carbohydrates, essential fats and proteins, along with vital vitamins and minerals
- Mobility aids including wheelchairs, walking frames, crutches and walking sticks
- Plaster of Paris
- Surgical gowns and gloves
- Surgical instruments
- Children’s clothes and toys
- Orthopaedic boots and neck braces
- Radiation oncology items
- Compression bandages and gauze cover combines
- Pulse oximeters
Every shipment like this is only possible because of the generosity of Australian hospitals, donors, supporters and the strength of partnerships across borders and Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations.
