The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) welcomes the recent morning briefing about Ukraine at the British Consulate General Sydney, hosted by Dr Brian J Jones, Acting High Commissioner of the British High Commission.
Kateryna Argyrou, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Sydney and AFUO Chair, alongside H. E. Vasyl Myroshnychenko, Ambassador of Ukraine to Australia and NZ, briefed attendees on russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine, its devastating impact on civilians, and the need for sustained international support for a just and lasting peace.
The briefing brought together a visiting UK parliamentary delegation and Parliament of NSW representatives, including Ben Franklin, President of the Legislative Council, and Greg Piper, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
