On Thursday 11 July, over 150 people attended a rally on the steps of the Victorian Parliament House to condemn russia’s terrorist, genocidal attack on a Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, which was organised by the Ukrainian Women’s Association Victoria, supported by the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations and the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in Diaspora – Essendon.
On Sunday 14 July the Association of Ukrainians in Victoria (AUV) hosted a community meeting with high-powered international guests who had arrived for our dearly departed Stefan Romaniw’s State Funeral Service. Welcomed with bread and salt by Tatiana Zachariak, Chair of the AUV Board of Directors, speakers included:

- Andriy Dobriansky, America – Director of Communications at the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America and Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) Mission to the United Nations representative

- Natalia Poshyvailo Towler, Melbourne – UWC Vice President for Oceania, Asia and Africa
