Australia is moving its “Operation Kudu” military training mission from the UK to Poland – making the training to be delivered faster, closer and more cost-effective.
From mid-2026, Australian Defence Force (ADF) trainers will join the multinational, Norwegian-led “Operation Legio”, which is based at Camp Jomsborg in Poland, near the Ukrainian border.
Since Operation Kudu began, the ADF has trained more than 3,650 Ukrainian personnel in infantry tactics, leadership and military skills.

We thank the Anthony Albanese Government, the Australian Defence Force, and Defence Minister Richard Marles MP for this continued commitment to Ukraine’s fight for freedom and democracy.
