The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) congratulates and welcomes Senator Linda Reynolds, Liberal Senator for Western Australia, as the new Co-Chair of the Australian Ukrainian Parliamentary Friendship Group (AUPFG).
“As a former Minister for Defence and Minister for Defence Industry, and Reserve Officer in the Australian Army for 29 years, we appreciate her deep knowledge about military issues and how Australia can potentially assist Ukraine,” said the AFUO Co-Chairs, Kateryna Argyrou and Stefan Romaniw OAM.
“We look forward to working productively with Senator Reynolds to maintain the engagement of the AUPFG in supporting Ukraine with its military, humanitarian and recovery needs, and engaging with the local Ukrainian-Australian community” they added.
The current AUPFG of the 47th Parliament is Co-Chaired by Labor Senator Catryna Bilyk and comprises 57 Federal MPs. The group is the largest friendship group in the Australian Parliament, with broad cross-party support.
