Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) Chair Kateryna Argyrou appointed Honorary Consul of Ukraine in NSW by Ukrainian Foreign Minister.
We are very excited and proud to share that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrij Sybiha has appointed AFUO Chair Kateryna Argyrou as Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Sydney (NSW Consular District).
The appointment was officially presented yesterday in Kyiv during Kateryna’s visit to Ukraine to conduct high-level status updates and strategy meetings and deliver military aid to the frontline via AFUO’s Defend Ukraine Appeal.
In this new role as Honorary Consul, Kateryna will utilise her expertise as a fund manager in her day job to support the Ukrainian Embassy in strengthening trade and investment ties with Australia, with a special focus on incorporating Australian business in Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Kateryna will formally take up her new role following the granting of an exequatur by the Australian Government.
