It is with heavy hearts that the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) mourns the reported loss of “Mozzie,” an Australian volunteer and combat medic who served with Med Team Alpha in Ukraine’s International Legion.
Though not Ukrainian himself, he felt compelled to put his skills and experience to use in defence of Ukraine and its people against russia’s illegal aggression. He gave everything to protect and save the lives of others on the frontline, and was known and respected throughout the community of international volunteers for his courage and skill.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and brothers and sisters in arms during this incredibly painful and difficult time. His sacrifice and service will not be forgotten.
