The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) is proud to welcome Lieutenant Viktoriia “Malvina” Savkiv of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as she visits Australia on an advocacy tour in honour of Ukrainian Independence Day.
Viktoriia is a decorated Ukrainian defender and former combat medic who now serves as Commander of an Unmanned Aerial Strike Systems Platoon with the 214th Separate Assault Battalion “OPFOR”. She has come to our shores directly from the trenches in the Donetsk oblast.
Her courage and dedication have been recognised with state awards presented by former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Zaluzhny, and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
