Overnight on 2 July, russia launched one of its heaviest attacks on Kyiv in months — waves of missiles and drones over nearly 12 hours, killing at least 17 people and wounding at least 86, including children.
The attacks destroyed and damaged residential buildings, an ambulance station, a research institute, a hotel and businesses. People who should have been safe in their beds are instead being dug out of collapsed apartment blocks.
This is deliberate terror against civilians. Night after night, Ukrainians pay with their lives.
The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations calls on the Anthony Albanese government to:
