A delegation of Ukrainian MPs led by Dr. Galyna Mykhailiuk MP, representative of the President of Ukraine in the Verkhovna Rada and Deputy Chair of the Committee on Law Enforcement, is visiting Australia to strengthen cooperation and deepen Australia-Ukraine ties.
Key engagements have included:
Meetings with Queensland, NSW and Federal ministers and parliamentary leaders
Talks with investment managers, defence companies, the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, and UK officials
Launch of the Parliamentary Friends of Ukraine group in Canberra
Community meeting in Brisbane
The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations helped secure national media coverage for the visit, keeping Ukraine – and its military and humanitarian needs – firmly in the spotlight.
