The first 40 foot container full of medical and humanitarian aid has been sent from Melbourne to Lviv, funded by the Ukraine Crisis Appeal (UCA).
This huge undertaking was made possible by the tireless assistance of our wonderful supporters at Rotary Donations in Kind in Footscray, Rotary Gdynia (Poland) and Rotary Lviv, where the aid will be received and distributed in early February 2024.
Sent in this load were:
- 15 pallets of medical supplies
- 5 crates of x-ray equipment
- 18 mobile ventilators
- A Sabre 3300 watt generator
- 1 pallet of Metal Detecting (de-mining) equipment
- 5 pallets of woolen blankets
- Winter sleeping bags
- 4 pallets warm winter clothing
Our next container is due to depart Melbourne in early 2024 and will contain more of the above, plus essential dental/maxillofacial equipment to help repair facial injuries, tourniquets and 10 pallets of dehydrated food.
