The AFUO Co-Chair and Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) First Vice President, Stefan Romaniw, is spending a week in Ukraine to meet with key government representatives and civic organisations.
He has met with the Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Olena Kondratiuk, and attended the SFUZHO (International Federation of Ukrainian Womens’ Organisations) XIIth Congress in Premsyl on the occasion of its 75th anniversary.
In a moving ceremony, Stefan has also laid an Australian flag at the Maidan on Khreshchatyk St in memory of the brave Australians who have died defending Ukraine.
And no trip to Ukraine is complete for Stefan without a heartwarming visit to one of the AFUO’s Ukraine Crisis Appeal shelters, which provide a warm bed, food and comfort for thousands of internally displaced Ukrainians.
