Lone Star Rib House & Brews raises money for Ukrainians in need

March 23, 2022 by CYOA Administrator

Lone Star Rib House & Brews has officially partnered with the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) Ukraine Crisis Appeal, to help raise money to support Ukrainian people in need, including those who’ve had to suddenly leave their homes in order to escape the devastating events taking place in their country.

Lone Star Rib House & Brews will be introducing a Ukrainian Sampler dish from Monday, 28 March to the menu for a limited time with $5 from every dish sold being directly donated to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal. The Sampler dish will be available at all New South Wales and South Australia stores and includes a Ukrainian smoked sausage & delicious handmade Ukrainian pierogi (dumplings) served with sour cream.

In addition to the Sampler dish, customers will also be able to round up their bills to donate loose change or even donate an amount at their own discretion directly to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal when in-store. On the donation page under “requests” please code donations “Lone Star” as this will allow us visibility of your support.

‘As a group we knew we couldn’t just sit back and not help the Ukrainian people in some way. We think we know our customers well and are confident they will join us by getting behind the campaign by either trying our Ukrainian Sampler meal or just making a donation,’ said Group General Manager, Gary Blyton.

‘Contributions to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal will provide safe shelter, food, blankets and medical assistance to the millions of Ukrainians displaced by the war in their country. By donating, Australians can help make a difference for the people of Ukraine,’ said Ms Diahanna Senko, AFUO, Director Humanitarian Aid Initiatives, Chair Ukraine Crisis Appeal and UHELP.
