The AFUO welcomes the ongoing commitment to Ukraine from the Australian Government in the 2025 Federal Budget.
The Budget includes further support for more equipment, as well as greater funding for the Australian Embassy in Kyiv.
Other funding highlights include:
- Extended additional tariffs on goods from russia or belarus, through to 2027
- $17 million over two years from 2024/25 to support the Government of Ukraine through provision of defence equipment and components.
- $36 million over five years from 2024/25 for the Australian Embassy in Kyiv, to return diplomatic and consular services to Ukraine.
