Our voices were heard loud and clear at the protest on 6 and 10 February – but the fight against russian disinformation is not over!
Join us again in Sydney as we take a stand against pro-russian propaganda and demand accountability from those who give it a platform #NorussianPropagandaInAustralia

The screening of “russians at War” at the Antenna Documentary Film Festival is not just a film – it is a tool of manipulation that distorts the truth about russia’s war against Ukraine. This cannot go unchallenged.
1,400+ emails have now been sent to festival organisers and sponsors, demanding they take responsibility for their programming choices
The AFUO continues to liaise with advisers to the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs and other diplomatic channels to stress the urgent need to counter russian disinformation in Australia
Following public pressure, sponsors have begun to distance themselves from the festival including cultural partner the Italian Cultural Institute of Sydney (statement: https://bit.ly/42MfRcw)
Our community’s presence on 6 and 10 February made an impact – We must keep up the pressure!
Disinformation is a weapon in russia’s war. Allowing its spread in Australia undermines truth, weakens support for Ukraine, and emboldens pro-kremlin voices. We cannot let this stand.
Join us in Sydney on 14 February to send a clear message – russian propaganda has no place in Australia!
