The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) has launched a campaign to ask community members and supporters to email and meet their local MP to share their personal stories about how the russian war against Ukraine has impacted them, and to ask for more Australian Government military aid for Ukraine.
Campaign for Ukraine makes it easy to write and send an email to local MPs and key Ministers, and includes tips for how to set up a meeting with MPs and share on social media.
“It is important to reinforce to MPs how important it is that Australia continues to support Ukraine and democracy,” said AFUO Co-Chairs, Stefan Romaniw OAM and Kateryna Argyrou.
“Ukraine needs the right tools to see off the Russian invaders, reclaim its territory and achieve the ultimate goal of peace and freedom.
“Australia’s generous contributions to Ukraine’s defence have played an impactful role. But the fight is far from over.
“It is time to support the requests made by Ukraine and the Ukrainian Embassy to Australia and increase our calls on the Australian Government to provide more military aid to Ukraine,” they added.
