Amazing show of solidarity with Ukraine in Binalong, tiny town in regional NSW.
Cafe on Queen owners Jan Giles and Adrian Sykes have put ‘tariffs’ on US products in a show of support, sending raised funds + every dollar matched by themselves to Ukraine.
“I couldn’t believe they did something like that, it was so heartening to see,” AFUO Chair Kateryna Argyrou said, speaking on ABC PM Radio.
“Our fund Ukraine Crisis Appeal has raised $13M over the last 3 years and almost all of those donations are from regular Aussies. They’re mostly $10 or $20 donations but as you can see it all adds up and goes a long way to helping Ukrainians in need”, she continued.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Jan and Adrian not just for caring but for doing something about it! They have now pledged to donate funds to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal.
