The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations is launching its campaign
Make the Ukrainian Mark in the 2016 Census
The 2016 Census will be conducted in Tuesday August 9, 2016.
The ensure Ukrainians in Australia are correctly represented in National data collection it is imperative that all those of Ukrainian background or having connections with Ukrainians through marriage carefully consider the responses as outlined below.
The Census needs to be completed electronically or if you do have access to a computer you will need to request a Census form to be delivered to your home. The Australian Bureau of Statistics will provide the required information to each household.
Questions relating to
- Place of birth,
- languages spoken at home
- ancestry
- Religion
relate very much in identifying the Ukrainian demographic.

Тhe AFUO is requesting all our Parishes, member organisations, media outlets also engage in the campaign to ensure the message is spread far and wide.
Apart from distributing the information, we suggest public information sessions be conducted to inform members of the community of this important activity.
