OVER THE NEXT WEEK
CRIMEA BELONGS TO UKRAINE
The internationally recognised Ukrainian territory of Crimea was annexed by the Russian Federation on 18 March 2014.

Севастополя Росією — збройна агресія Росії спрямована на насильницьке протиправне відторгнення Кримської автономії та Севастополя від України та їх приєднання до Російської Федерації на правах суб’єктів Російської Федерації, що було здійснено протягом березня 2014 року.
The AFUO calls on members of the community to commence a letter writing / direct contact campaign over the coming 7 days to the Federal Government and Opposition to call on the Australian Government to again reinforce the following messages:
- condemnation of ongoing aggression of Russian Federation against Ukraine
- That Crimea must return to Ukraine
- That Russian occupation violates norms of the international law and international humanitarian law as well as Russia’s international obligations
- Send letters to the Minister of Foreign Affairs – The Hon Julie Bishop
Other steps:
- Write letters to the editor, contact media outlets, seek broader community support
- AFUO requests State Hromady and AFUO members to be drivers of this campaign
