PETRO JACYK INTERNATIONAL UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE COMPETITION:
AUSTRALIA-WIDE COMPETITION 2012
Saturday 26 May 2012:
10.30 a.m – 12:00 noon (Eastern States)
10.00 a.m – 11.30 a.m (South Australia and Northern Territory)
8.30 a.m – 10.00 a.m (Western Australia)
The competition promotes the knowledge and use of the Ukrainian language among children, teenagers and young adults in Ukraine and throughout the world.
The competition will be conducted online at computer-equipped venues around Australia. These are listed on the Competition’s web page,

Persons aged between 9 and 21 years (inclusive) are eligible to participate.
There will be several age bands. Within each age band there will be two categories:
- participants who have received some formal schooling in Ukraine;
- all other participants.
Winners in each category within each year band will receive a prize of $200. There will be 22 prizes.
