While hospitals are in ruins, there is the opportunity for Ukrainian health professionals to upskill, enabling the rebuilding of Ukraine in line with international standards.
This site lets you donate to fund observership/scholarship programs in Australia for female doctors in a range of specialties (radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, oncology surgeons, pathologists, radiologists and medical physicists).
We have already secured 2 positions for medical physicists with the ICON Group in Brisbane and Sydney.
Our aim is to fund at least another 2 positions in each of the professions named.
We call on professional societies/vendors to help fund educational opportunities for Ukrainian oncology practitioners to prevent “killing twice effect”, that is if you don’t die from the war directly, you may from the lack of medical care.
The budget ~$25,000 per person for 6 weeks.
