On October 22, 2023, the XII Congress of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) was held virtually with the participation of more than 400 delegates from more than 30 countries.

The Congress elected the President and management team who will lead the UWC for the next 4 years. This includes:
- Pavlo Grod (Canada) – remains the UWC President
- Stefan Romaniw OAM – remains the UWC First Vice President
- Kateryna Argyrou – elected to the UWC Board of Directors (Management)
- Yarema Polatajko – elected to the UWC Control Committee
- Nataliya Poshyvaylo-Towler – elected Regional Vice President for Oceania and Asia
During the Congress, a list of 68 people from 19 countries and 3 world organisations was submitted to receive the highest award of the UWC – the St. Volodymyr The Great Medal. Four Ukrainian-Australians received this prestigious award:
- Stefan Romaniw
- Michael Morawsky
- Tatiana Zachariak
- Marko Pavlyshyn
The Congress was virtually attended by AFUO representatives including: Stefan Romaniv, Iryna Andreeva, Yarema Polatajko, Chrestyna Kmetj, Taras Galas, Justin Senko, Marko Pavlyshyn, Luba Kaye, Odarka Bretsko, Teresa Lachowicz.
