Tuesday November 19 marks 1,000 days since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
For 1,000 days, russia has directed relentless and indiscriminate attacks upon Ukraine, killed and maimed people across the country, and forced millions to flee their homes. Russia has devastated lives and livelihoods, towns and villages, civilian infrastructure, and our precious cultural buildings, churches, fields, lakes and rivers.
The daily toll on our brave defenders and ordinary civilians has been staggering, yet the Ukrainian people have endured and shown unmatched resilience and unity.
The Australian-Ukrainian community will join the global community in rallying on Tuesday 19 November to #StandWithUkraine.
We will remember and commemorate the lives impacted and tragically taken by the russian terrorist regime. We will honour the courage of our brave warriors and all Ukrainians, fighting to protect Ukraine’s freedom and the global order. And we will call on our political leaders and supporters to continue to help Ukraine, a sovereign and independent country which was illegally invaded.
Join us in amplifying our collective voice! Together, we can ensure that the world’s eyes remain on Ukraine’s fight for freedom. Together, we will prevail.
