Members of the Friends of Ukraine Canberra-Queanbeyan were invited to attend the ACT Legislative Assembly by the ACT Attorney-General, Shane Rattenbury last Thursday 11th April 2024.
Delivering a powerful speech supporting Ukraine, a memorable quote from Mr Rattenbury resonated with the crowd. “Democracy is not a spectator sport. We must all support Ukraine’s fight,” he said.

Australia has stood side-by-side with Ukraine from the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Over 82% of Australians support Australian aid for Ukraine. But the packages have become smaller and less frequent.
