With 5,000 displaced Ukrainians currently living in Australia, the AFUO will be expanding the work of its Education and Employment subcommittee to provide assistance to displaced Ukrainians with:
- education
- recognising overseas qualifications
- employment
- help with Resumes
- job interview
Pilot programs will commence shortly.

The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) and its member state organisations ‘hromady’ have assisted our displaced people by providing assistance with accommodation, life skills such as swimming lessons and language tuition, and organising ‘meet and greets’ to welcome the newest members of our community.
This is the AFUO’s latest initiative to help our newest arrivals adjust to life in Australia, after they were forced to flee Ukraine following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
