Combined\, the two groups have performed at every major Australian folk festival\, and won awards both locally and internationally. \nYellow Blue Bus is a global-fusion ensemble which highlights the beautiful sound of the Ukrainian bandura\, a unique 65 stringed cousin of the lute\, which they bring into new musical territory in a contemporary and global context.\nLayered onto the distinctive sound of the bandura are violin\, guitar\, mandolin and keyboard\, with a solid rhythm section. \nThe Lost Clog is made up of the offspring of Lithuanian World War II refugees. DESCRIPTION:A ‘Concert for Ukraine’ is a benefit concert to raise vital funds for the humanitarian needs of the people of Ukraine. \nThe Benefit Concert combines the talents of Australia’s favourite classical and operatic artists\, some of which are Ukrainian born\, and studied at the Conservatorium of Kharkiv. \nThe concert is made up of eight internationally renowned artists\, who have come together for this special afternoon of great music to support such a significant cause. Additionally the concert will showcase two youth ensembles\, the Finesse Quartet and Buevska Trio. \nCurated by Rob and Irina Buevska-Cowell of Cappuccino Concerts Australia\, alongside Principal Patrons Tony and Gwenyth Lennon\, the ticket proceeds will be directed to organisations providing aid within Ukrainian communities.
