Joining global demonstrations, Ukrainians and supporters gathered in major cities around Australia to mark Ukrainian Day of Unity – 22 January!
Following a call out from the Посольство України в Австралії / Embassy of Ukraine in Australia to support the global action, we thank everyone who came out in Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide, linking arms to create a human “chain of unity”. The day was a beautiful and resilient display of the Ukrainian spirit – undefeated and united.
A huge thank you to Ukrainian Council of NSW – ОУГ НПВ, Ukrainian Community of Queensland Inc., Association of Ukrainians in Victoria, Association of Ukrainians in SA and Friends of Ukraine Canberra-Queanbeyan for organising the events.
Together, we urge Australia and the world to unite with Ukraine against russian aggression, and stand up for peace, freedom and justice!
