Last week, Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations (AFUO) Chair Kateryna Argyrou and AFUO Humanitarian & Medical Aid Director Diahanna Senko were welcomed to the Rotary Mosman club to update their supportive members of the current situation in Ukraine and the tremendous impact their generous donations have made in Ukraine through Ukraine Crisis Appeal, Defend Ukraine Appeal & Future Ukraine. To the members of Rotary Mosman — your incredibly generous $5,500 donation, creatively raised through a Mother’s Day raffle, has made a profound difference!
The Ukraine Crisis Appeal, powered by Rotary World Community Service (RAWCS) and the AFUO is the backbone of our ability to deliver life-saving humanitarian and medical aid as well as rehabilitation and trauma support programs. We are incredibly thankful to Rotary for their continued collaboration and dedication to our shared mission to help as many Ukrainians as possible.
Joining the meeting were Ukrainian veteran soldiers Viktor “Blacksmith” and Nazar “Kapa” — who expressed their gratitude to Australians’ mateship, the importance of collaborative fundraising initiatives to assist Ukrainians in need, and share their rehabilitative journeys in Australia.
